Egbeyemi was a member of the All-Progressive Congress political party and studied law at Obafemi Awolowo University. He worked as a lawyer and served as the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State under Governor Kayode Fayemi from 2018 to 2022.

Career

In 1978–1979, Bisi Egbeyemi was President of the Law Students Association at the University of Ife. This was one of his first jobs as a leader. He was the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General in Ekiti State from 2002 to 2003.

He was also the President of the Physical Education Students Association at the University of Lagos College of Education in Akoka, Lagos (1974–1975). Between 2010 and 2014, he was the Director of Owena Motels in the state of Ondo and the Director of Odua Investment Company Limited.

He ran for governor of Ekiti with Kayode Fayemi in 2017 as a member of the All-Progressive Congress, and they won the election. Kayode Fayemi’s choice to make him his deputy was criticized because many people thought he had pushed for it.

They got 197,459 votes, which was more than the PDP’s 178,121. On October 16, 2018, in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, he was sworn in as the state’s vice governor.
