Damar Hamlin Condition After Collapse

Higgins received a pass on the 50-yard line and sprinted downfield, leading with his right shoulder, which collided with Hamlin’s chest. As the defender, Hamlin encircled Higgins’ shoulders and helmet, pinning him to the ground.

The tackle was described as fairly regular by sources, despite the jarring impact of the hit. Hamlin stood up briefly after the play before dropping backwards.

Damar Hamlin remained still as team trainers and paramedics raced to his side within ten seconds to aid him. For five minutes, first responders performed CPR and defibrillation on Hamlin on the field.

Four minutes after his collapse, an ambulance arrived on the scene. Eventually, Hamlin was given oxygen and an intravenous solution (IV).

Most of the players from both teams walked off the sidelines to kneel or stand on the field beside him while he was being loaded onto a stretcher, evidently concerned and emotional about his plight.

He was reported to be in serious condition and was intubated after being brought by ambulance, accompanied by his mother, to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center at approximately 9:25 p.m. EST.

The game was called off with 5:58 left in the first quarter due to the NFL’s emergency rules. ESPN and Westwood One separately claimed a five-minute warmup period to begin play, but the game remained suspended and the NFL later rejected the reports.

The game was eventually called off shortly after 10 p.m., well over an hour after Hamlin collapsed. The NFL said the next day that the game would not be continued that week.

Disease – What Happened to Him

Later that night, at 1:48 a.m. local time, the Bills reported that Hamlin had had cardiac arrest and that his heartbeat had been restored on-field.

On January 3, Hamlin remained comatose and on a ventilator at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Damar Hamlin was placed on his stomach to relieve pressure on his lungs, according to his uncle Dorrian Glen.

He also disclosed that Hamlin had to be resuscitated twice the night of the incident – once on the field and second time at the hospital – and that his status was “going upwards.

Audience Reactions

Immediately after the attack, a large number of NFL players and clubs took to social media to express their condolences, support, and prayers.

The following day, all 32 NFL teams updated their Twitter profile images to include an image of Hamlin’s jersey under the slogan “Pray For Damar.”

Tee Higgins, who plays for the Cincinnati Bengals, and Ja’Marr Chase, who plays for the Bengals, both sent their condolences to Hamlin’s family. Josh Allen, quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, appealed to the community to “Please pray for our brother.”

Immediately after he passed out, a crowd of admirers amassed in front of the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center.

A number of hours after the incident, the lights on the offices of Fifth Third Bank, which is located on Fountain Square, as well as the lights on Paycor Stadium, which was the location of the game, were changed to a blue color in honor of Hamlin.

In order to show support for Hamlin on the evening of January 3, the Niagara Falls illumination will be in the color blue, as previously promised. ((wikipedia))
