When Emmanuel came back from Kaduna after the death of his first wife, he married Cecilia, whose real name was Adiba Ogbogu. Cecilia was born Adiba Ogbogu. Cecilia’s family was from the Ugamuma neighborhood of Obosi.

Her guardian, Rev. Ekpunobi, was the first person from Obosi to become an Anglican Priest. Emeka’s mother grew up in his home. At the time, people in the area thought he was one of the smartest and most educated people there.

Cecilia Emeka’s mother lived with the Ekpunobi family as a ward. When Rev. Ekpunobi heard that Emmanuel’s wife had died, he asked him to come to his house. Emmanuel Emeka’s father and Adiba then decided to get married with his help. Their first child, a girl, passed away. After that, Emeka was born. He has five siblings.
