Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, a Nigerian politician and the current governor of Adamawa State, was born on October 27, 1967. He was a member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly and was elected Speaker.

Following the July 2014 impeachment of Murtala Nyako, the previous governor of Adamawa State, he became the state’s interim governor, a position he handed over to Bala James Ngilari after three months.

He urged everyone to take comfort in the awareness that death is unavoidable, and he prayed to Allah to “give the deceased the highest dwelling in his cherished paradise.”
