Ada Afoluwake Ogunkeye, born on November 25, 1986, is a well-known figure in Nigeria, professionally recognized as Folu Storms. She has a diverse career as a radio host, presenter, actress, voice-over artist, and television host.
Folu Storms, originally from Aguda, Surulere, Lagos state, had her early education at Corona VI primary school and continued to The Lagoon Secondary School. For her secondary education, she attended St Leonards Mayfield in the UK.
Later, she pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Aberystwyth University from 2005 to 2008. Subsequently, she pursued her Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Bristol in 2009. Storms also holds a diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Pan-African University.
In terms of her career, Storms initially worked as a lawyer before making a shift to the media industry. In 2012, she joined the radio station 92.3 Inspiration FM. She gained further recognition when she became one of the finalists in the MTV Base Africa’s VJ search.
Storms was later employed by Ndani TV, where she worked as a presenter and content producer. Notably, her work on The New Africa documentary earned her a nomination for the best documentary award at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Apart from her radio career, Storms co-hosted the Breakfast show at Smooth 98.1FM in Lagos and won several awards, including the 2017 Ebony Life TV Sisterhood Awards for TV Personality of the Year.
