In 1993, she joined the Central Bank of Nigeria, where she worked in the Research Department as an Assistant Director. Over the years, she held various positions in the department, including heading the State Government Finance Office, Federal Government Finance Office, and Fiscal Analysis Division.
Alade has contributed to major economic policy studies in Nigeria and helped to prepare the Central Bank of Nigeria’s monetary and credit policy proposals. She was also involved in drafting Nigeria’s Medium Term Economic Programme and the IMF Staff Monitored Programme/Standby Arrangement.
Alade was the director of the Banking Operations Department and chaired the board of directors of the Nigeria Interbank Settlement System.
