Stephanie Onyekachi Okereke Linus, was born on October 2, 1982, to Chima and Mary Okereke in Ngor Okpala, Imo State, in the southeast of Nigeria. She is a well-known actress, model, director, producer, and model in Nigeria.

The nollywood actress went to elementary and high school in Delta State where she grew up. She went to the University of Calabar in Cross River State, where she got a degree in English and Literary Studies.
In 1997, she was still a teenager when she appeared in two Nollywood films, Compromise 2 and Waterloo. Okereke finished third in the 2002 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria beauty pageant.
