Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, has denied that he got off the campaign train of Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All-Progressives Congress, and dumped it.

In a post on his verified Facebook page on Sunday, Bello said that he would continue to support Tinubu and Kashim Shettima in the 2023 presidential election. Some news sources said that the governor of Kogi may have dropped Tinubu’s campaign.

The actions of the National Youth Coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council could have been influenced by what was going on in the North-Central state before the governorship election in November, according to the report.

Bello said, “This is not true. My support for Tinubu/Shettima 2023 is 100% unwavering. God be with APC!! Nigeria is part of the Federal Republic of Africa.

The rumor comes just after a key player in the Tinubu-Shettima campaign quit the APC, which happened less than 24 hours ago.

The news media says that Tinubu’s presidential campaign director, Naja’atu Muhammad, quit his job as director on Saturday.

Naja’atu was in charge of Civil Society for the APC’s Presidential Campaign Council. Naja’atu, who was 67 years old, gave his resignation one month before the election for president.

In her resignation letter to Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the APC, she also complained about the state of the country and said that she would rather help fix the country than stay in party politics.
