Gilbert McAdam was a professional football player who played in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by St Kilda Football Club in 1989 and later traded to the Brisbane Bears. He retired from football in 1996 after playing 111 AFL matches. McAdam returned to play for the Central District Football Club in 1998 and retired from football in 1999.
McAdam’s younger brother, Adrian, also played for the North Melbourne Football Club. Gilbert was later drafted by Collingwood, but he decided not to return from retirement. He coached South Alice to a premiership before moving to Darwin to coach the Darwin Football Club in 2006.
