Zainab Abbas, a Pakistani television host, sports presenter, and commentator, was born on 14 February 1988 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
She pursued her education at Aston University and later obtained an MBA from the University of Warwick. Zainab gained prominence as a sports anchor, covering the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.
However, her time in India was marred by controversy surrounding her past social media posts, which were accused of mocking India and its cricket team.
Despite denying deportation or forceful departure, Zainab apologized for any offense caused by those old posts. Feeling intimidated and scared due to the online reaction, Zainab decided to leave India on October 9, 2023.

Hamza Kardar happens to be the son of Shahid Hafeez Kardar, the former finance minister and governor of the State Bank of Pakistan. The couple welcomed a son named Taimur Hamza Kardar in 2021.

Zainab pursued her education at Aston University in Birmingham and later obtained an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the University of Warwick.
Her career took a turn when she worked for two years at Dolce & Gabbana at Harrods in London. Her father, a former bowler for Faisalabad and Hafizabad cricket teams, shared his alma mater with the legendary Ramiz Raja.
On the other hand, her mother, a senior member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party, has made significant contributions, serving in the National Assembly of Pakistan and as the Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

In 2017, she hosted the web-series talk show “Sawal Cricket Ka,” followed by “Voice of Cricket” on Cricingif from May 2018 to May 2019, where she interviewed various Pakistani cricketers.
A trailblazer in sports reporting, Zainab covered the ICC 2019 World Cup from Pakistan, making her the first woman sports reporter and commentator to do so.
In July 2021, she made history by debuting on Sky Sports for the inaugural season of The Hundred, becoming the first Pakistani female presenter on the network.
Zainab’s achievements have not gone unnoticed. In 2019, she received the Sports TV Host of the Year award at the first Pakistan Sports Awards.
Her influence was further recognized when she was included in the 100 most influential people in Asia/UK/EU by the New York Press Agency in July 2020. Additionally, she was invited to speak at the TedxLahoreWomen event in October 2020.
