Commenting on the state of the nation, Dantalle described it as terrible, with citizens being killed, kidnapped, and tortured daily. He accused governments at all levels of failing to protect and secure the populace in clear violation of Section 14(2)b of the 1999 Constitution as amended, which clearly states that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.
Dantalle highlighted that the 2023 general election provides another opportunity to save the nation from clueless leadership, stating that the APM has fielded credible candidates to contest various offices. 
He further stressed that Nigerians have suffered enough from recycled politicians who have brought nothing but pains, depression, and confusion to the country, making it the poverty capital of the world besieged by terrorists, insurgents, bandits, militants, and kidnappers.
