Barber achieved significant success in pole vaulting, notably winning the gold medal at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing with a height of 5.90 m.
He also secured a Pan American Games championship in 2015, clearing a height of 5.80 m. Additionally, Barber earned a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
