Stephen Bromhead was a member of the New South Wales Parliament representing Myall Lakes from 2011 until his passing on 16 March 2023. He belonged to The Nationals political party and had previously worked as a nurse, solicitor, police officer, and politician.

Stephen Bromhead was endorsed as a candidate for The Nationals in the Myall Lakes constituency in June 2010 after the previous member, John Turner, announced he would not seek re-election.
During the election campaign, Bromhead was in a car accident and later fractured his leg again while asking a question in parliament. Despite this, he won the March 2011 elections with a swing toward him of 11.2%.
Bromhead was re-elected in the March 2015 elections but announced his retirement in October 2022 due to a diagnosis of mesothelioma. He passed away on 16 March 2023 at the age of 66.
