Apply For Scholarship: Government of Romania 2023 to 2024 Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is available to all non-EU nationals with good academic records, regardless of where they live. However, priority will be given to those who live in countries without mutual educational and cultural agreements with Romania.
Scholarship Levels
There are three levels of study covered by the scholarship. The first cycle, known as Licenta, is for high school graduates or equivalent pre-university systems who wish to continue their studies in Romania.
It takes 3 to 6 years, depending on the faculty, and ends with a final exam. The second cycle, known as Master, is for university/post-graduate graduates who want to pursue their master’s degree in Romania.
It takes 1.5 to 2 years and ends with a dissertation. The third cycle, known as Doctorate, is for university/post-graduate graduates who want to pursue a doctorate in Romania. It takes 3-4 years and ends with a doctor’s thesis.
Language Requirement
All scholarship recipients must study in Romanian to support the country’s language and culture.
If candidates do not speak Romanian, they will be given an additional year of preparation to learn it. Students who claim to speak Romanian must pass a language test.
Benefits
The scholarship covers free tuition, free accommodation (depending on availability), and financial support ranging from €65-85 per month. However, it does not cover food or transportation expenses.

The application can also be submitted through Romanian diplomatic missions accredited to the candidate’s country of origin or residence or the diplomatic mission of the candidate’s state of origin accredited to Bucharest.
