Iyabo Ojo attended National College, Gbagada, in Lagos before pursuing a degree in Estate Management at Lagos State Polytechnic.

In April 2021, she strongly condemned fellow actor, Yomi Fabiyi, for sympathizing with Olanrewaju Omikunle (Baba Ijesha), who was arrested for molesting a minor.

She took legal action against Yomi Fabiyi for making “defamatory statements” about her, leading to her blacklisting by the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).

It has also been rumored that she had romantic relationships with Dino Melaye and Sen Musiliu Obanikoro, though this remains unverified.
