Abba Yusuf has warned lenders not to give any loans to the outgoing Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration after March 18, 2023. Yusuf said his administration would not honour or pay back such loans.
Abba Kabir Yusuf also said that all existing loans taken by the Ganduje administration would be renegotiated by the new administration and guided by the utilisation audit/review of each loan facility.

The PDP and Kabir-Yusuf are contesting the outcome of the election, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as well as the APC and Ganduje are named as respondents in the case.
The evidence submitted includes certified copies of polling unit result sheets from various local government areas in the state. The case is ongoing, with 785 witnesses expected to appear before the election tribunal.
