After being called to the Nigerian Bar, Ifunanya pursued a career in law. However, she is currently not practicing law and is focusing on her modeling and acting career. She has been featured in several Nigerian movies and has modeled for various brands.
Recently, Ifunanya found herself in the middle of a controversy when a viral post attributed to her made the rounds on social media. The post, which showed her in a provocative dress and smoking a Cuban cigar, claimed that she was celebrating her call to bar and referred to herself as a “gangster” and a “stoner.” 
Ifunanya, however, denied authorship of the post and clarified that the Facebook account hosting the image was not under her control. She claimed that con artists who took her photo and used it to create phony accounts impersonating her were responsible for the post. She emphasized that she is not a gangster or a stoner, but a model and an actress.
Ifunanya’s privacy was also violated when a video allegedly showing her performing a sexual act was leaked online. The video has caused a lot of controversy in Nigeria, with many denouncing the leak as an invasion of Ifunanya’s privacy. 
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) issued a statement denouncing the crime and vowed to look into it. The NBA emphasized that Ifunanya’s privacy should be respected, and whoever leaked the information should be prosecuted.
