Ruger, BNXN Fight Dirty On Social Media, While Blaqbonez Is Catching Cruise With Them (See Screenshot)
Ruger and BNXN, two popular Afropop stars in Nigeria, got into an argument online in August 2022, exchanging jabs on social media. The disagreement started when a fan of BNXN claimed that he was a better artist than Ruger.
In response, Ruger compared his achievements to BNXN’s, sparking the feud. Both artists admitted that their overly enthusiastic fans were fueling the conflict, each trying to prove their favorite artist’s superiority.
BNXN acknowledged the excessive loyalty of some fans, labeling the clash of egos as unnecessary and blown out of proportion.
Despite the tension, Ruger and BNXN eventually reconciled and collaborated on a joint album titled “RnB” (short for Ruger and Benson), released in April 2024.
Meeting in person, they realized that the disagreement stemmed more from their fans than from any genuine animosity between them. As Ruger stated, “the music is everything that we have; we have to fight for it.”
Ruger And BNXN Fight Dirty On Social Media
The intense rivalry between Bnxn and Ruger is clearly not dying down, as the two singers are at each other’s throats tonight, calling each other various nasty words.
According to reports, the argument began because Ruger’s newly released song ‘Asiwaju’ is currently topping the charts and his fans are using it to disparage BNXN. By the way, it should be noted that this is not the first time Ruger and Buju will be squabbling.
Ruger made a controversial statement about BNXN a few months ago, before the 2021 Headies Award. Since then, conflict has grown between the two artists’ fans on social media.
Ruger reacts delicately after losing the Next Rated Award to BNXN, and everything has since calmed down. However, it appears that the conflict will not be resolved anytime soon.
