Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, has turned 71 years old and instead of his usual birthday celebration, he has requested special prayers and thanksgiving services to be held across Lagos State.
The prayers will be held at the Central Mosque in each of the five divisions of Lagos State, including the Central Mosque in Alausa, Ikeja. The prayers are aimed at promoting peace, unity, and progress in Nigeria.
The services will begin at 10 am on Wednesday and will include sermons and readings from the Holy Quran. The prayers will also be offered for President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Tinubu’s wife, the vice president-elect, the Lagos State Governor, and other state officials.

You are celebrating 71 years today, 11 years after you celebrated your 69th birthday in 2012. How is this possible?
@unclemidetush Said: You’re one hell of a pathetic and unrepentant liar, Mr Amoda Ogunlere. You are 87 if not pushing early 90s ‘cause I recall you clocked 65 when I won overall best student in primary 3.
@Spicy_brighter Said: Happy birthday Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I wish u good health on your 81st birthday. Tell Nigerians the truth for once after 11years since you celebrated your 69th birthday in 2012.

@OstenbSax Said: BAT would have done well to remain what the French call an “éminence grise” (grey eminence) a powerful decision maker who operates behind the scenes. But his “Emi lokan” hubris and lust for the ultimate prize have ultimately compelled his foes to lay bare his furtive secrets.
@PrinceJustic3 Said: Old man happy birthday. May God give u long life to see Peter Obi sworn in 👏
@agaboss25 Said: How are you 71? My grandfather died at 74, before he died, he could walk long miles, do basic things for himself like cooking, cleaning and bathing. We sometimes beg for him to relax so he could be assisted. He looked stronger and healthy too. Happy 90th birthday, BAT.
